I'm surprised they keep the fountain running when it's cold like this. I suppose the pipes freeze up if they don't.
Anyway, the White House in winter. I think it's quite pretty in the snow. At the very least, the lawn matches the paint. It looks quite peaceful from out here. Inside, of course, is an entirely different matter. I hear it gets quite hectic at times.
Apparently they do have to turn the fountain off before the first frost or leave it running the entire winter. I know some one who lived in DC one winter.
